IFMSA-USA works on a number of national projects in various areas that impact global health.
IFMSA-USA CURRENT PROJECTS IN GLOBAL HEALTH

IFMSA-USA has a number of ongoing projects in diverse areas, but all are united in their focus on global health and importance to medical students worldwide.

Medical Education - Our medical education projects focus on helping medical students in underdeveloped countries get a high-quality education, and ensuring that American medical students get a high-quality education in global health issues.

Professional Exchange - IFMSA has an extensive and exciting professional exchange program. More than 7000 students worldwide participate in our program each year. Visit our Professional Exchange page to find out how you can arrange a professional exchange in the country of your choice.

Public Health - IFMSA-USA works hard to emphasize the importance of public health issues in medical education and the community. Current projects include initiatives in medical supply collection and a partnership with the organization Unite for Sight.

Reproductive Health and AIDS - IFMSA aims to raise awareness among medical students about reproductive health including sexual education, gender equity, sexual violence, as well as Sexually Transmitted Infections.

Research Exchange - Our program for Research Exchange, partner to the program for Professional Exchange, allows students interested in medical research the possibility to experience research work in a foreign country.

Refugees and Peace - The problems faced by displaced people and those who live in war zones are of great concern to students involved in IFMSA-USA. Students involved in our projects participate in relief efforts and work for the prevention of conflicts and human rights abuses.
